CA-9 Sandstone Crushed

Grade 9 sandstone is a crushed stone material similar to Grade 9 limestone but made from sandstone. It consists of small, angular particles and fines, allowing for excellent compaction and a firm surface. It is commonly used for road bases, pathways, driveways, and as a sub-base for pavers or concrete.

• Material: Crushed sandstone

• Size: 3/8” and smaller, including fines

• Texture: Compactable with a firm, stable surface

• Color: Typically varies from light tan to reddish hues, depending on the source

• Uses: Driveways, walkways, paver base, road base, and erosion control

Coverage per Ton:

• Compacted Coverage: ~100 square feet per ton at 2” depth

• Loose Coverage: ~120 square feet per ton at 2” depth
